Cushion from kid's art

As soon as I realize that Mika can draw, I promise myself that I will make a pillow for her from her drawing, so here it is.. the robot- she say so :)- turn into a cushion. I got the idea from wise craft blog, I assure you that her blog is a- must- see- blog for craft lover, two thumbs up! Thanks Blair! for being so creative.. :)

Got my new camera- yaay!!

After searching for quite sometimes, I choose Sony DSC H7 (prosumer class) well I don't have budget to buy those lovely-droolingly- DSLR camera .. :), it's been 3 days and all I can say is I love it.., buy it online from ek-gadget, I got a 1 G Memory Stick for free - wide smile :D!
I never touch a SLR camera since I graduate from college, so I think it's better to restart from now on, one thing that I might note that, all the images taken seems great :P.. well.. if you compare it with the pocket camera.. (my beloved sony P10) , 1 of my friend seriously made a comment ,"of course it make a difference.. !" haha.. okay! I will make use of the PASM mode, just teach me your kungfu, master!
It's true that the size is quite small, and for the first timer it gave a little difficulties to adjust with, but I think I manage that.. overall I'll recommend it- such a SONY lover am I not?

Illustration Friday - Car

As a child, I used to make this car-things from a citrus fruit of true Indonesian origin. It is a rather large fruit sometimes nearly as big as a football. Its name is jeruk Bali or Bali pomelo. After we eat the juicy flesh, we use the thick skin to make a car or sailing boat toys :), my mom also make me a 'costume' called ' baju monyet' - 'monkey shirt', I dont know where the name come from, but the shirt(?) has an 'overall' look, with 2 buttons on the top and a pocket to store our treasure, like marble, leaf, stones.. :D

This is the story of my mom- one eye-cat, name "Tae-ji-: matane siji" it means 'one eye', he lost his eye when he was small, come to near to my mom dog, he was bit on the eye- ouch! :'( still he survived, and now he was growing up, becoming the most fearfull cat in the neighbourhood, can you imagine that... I wonder what happen if he still have both eyes.. !

Now about the sign- he always left his sign.., pee here and there.. sigh! And in this illustration he's signing his favourite spot- the street sign..! One thing, I forget the pee pose for cat, got that mixed up by the pose for the dog.. sorry for that! :D

Bubble things.. :)

Many playthings can be made from bubble.., and you will never get bored with it..

You can blow the liquid soap from the bucket, and let it becoming bigger and bigger.. and for the ordinary things- just blow the bubble in the air.. , don't stop there.. play bubble chase with your little one, make caterpillar from the bubble- take a bunch of bubble and put it in your plant..

or play hide and seek with the bubble- you will need a stronger soap liquid for these, to make them stay a little longer, just in time to be found.., don't worry too much about the bubble spilled in the process, or how your kid will ask for more and more bubble - stay focus on the fun things :)..

Windmill

Like ordinary windmill, but it's not ordinary for my little one, it's her first bunch of windmill.. :), I make a few of it, consist of many colors, and it gives huge happiness, even when the windmill only last for about- hmmm- one week? :D.. hehee...
She run with it to and fro, she puff it like the big bad wolf, pretending that she was the wolf itself, she put it on her bicycle..

what a great invention.. it is worth to make..!

may 1st, 2007 a burglar came into our house!

It was like an ordinary morning, Peter take a cup of coffe before he goes to work, that's when he realized that his laptop is missing, we still think- maybe it was left on the car, but when we 'still' cannot find it, that when the adrenalin started to rush.. then we cannot find our cellphone- and the camera- and the wallet..

Theres a burglar inside the house last night... *_*

there was an uneasy feeling, more like having a headache, it not about the material but more about the nonsecure feels.. yuck!

We found the wallet on the backyard, dropped, with the all the money- of course- gone.

It's a miracle we found the laptop on the roof, the burglar left it there with all the plugs and mouse, cd, etc- etc.., but he took the suitcase.. - still wonder- how come- well lets say he still took pity on us, or think about the difficulties of selling the laptop, or.. stupid?

he take our cell phone, and my beloved camera.., but thanks God he didn't harmed us..

like the host on one quiz show in Indonesia used to say: Selamatkan keluarga anda! ( save your family!)

once again thanks God...

Time Out 2 !

Soo... instead of doing nothing, I paint my dining table- should I call it dining table cause it's only 80x80 cm :'). But I think the result it's fiiineee.... and I also re-paint my worn dining chair.. . Saving me money and give me relaxation
then we can have tea time on it..

Solar system

Trying to teach Mika about the solar system, it's quite fun.. , btw. talk about the solar system map, the NGI magazine gives the mars review with the mini solar system map last year, since then Mika always wondering about it, and yes, like other kids, the first planet on her mind is Saturn :) . Here is the classic edition of the solar system from NG.

Got to relax a little bit, so I won't touch the computer last week end.. as a matter a fact, the feeling is rather ackward :), ohh you computer geek..

So I just play with Mika, sleep all day, ordered food instead of cooking, and murmuring...

After all that, I went to the bookshop 'alone'- this is really a privileges for me, for it is a very rare happened :) I left Mika napping with his dad, thks Peter! And I've spent 2 hours at the books store, suddenly shocked cause the sky is already dark outside.. and what a book that I bought heehee.... this is worth to buy than new clothes heehee.... sorry girls :D

I bought a present for me, yes, an interior and craft book, titled:
1. Teras- magazine from IDEA
2. Colorful stitchery by Kristin Nicholas- this lady is amazing..

And also for Mika, a book that I also loved
1. H.C. Andersen- book that I longed to have, it's too expensive for me to buy when I was little, I remember go to Gramedia and hold this book for a loonng time in my hand....wishing to take it home with me, glad now I can buy it..
2. SPOT, SPOT,SPOT... brillian illustration and story, very simple yet very interesting
3. Goodnight moon,- I also buy this second hand book from yunita, just look at her collection of used book, I think it's worth it :)
