Remind me of an old stuff :), an illustration for an art supplies calendar back in year 2000, they invited young artisan to participate in the making of illustrated calendar, the topic was Indonesia, all of them make a good illustration about Indonesia, about politic in that days, about culture, about Indonesian comic and many more.
So I decided to make an illustration about Indonesian children music, that use to be not- so- good in lyric and moral- social influence for little children bcak in that days, but thanks God, it's getting better nowadays.
The writing in the above ilustration was paragraph taken from my childhood songs, back in 1970's and I still agree that many children writer in this area was very good, they could create a good song, with simple lyric, and very easy for children to sing along. One of them is about the Crescent Moon
This is a little bit of the translation bout the song *sorry for my poor grammar :D
Bulan sabit diawan
Laksana prahu emas
Laksana prahu emas
Bertabur bintang
Berkawan langit
Jauh diangkasa luas
Betapa senang hatiku rasanya
Menjadi nahkoda disana
Crescent moon on the sky
Star studded
Befriend with the sky
Like a golden ship
High in the big sky
O how happy my heart is
If I just could
be a captain of your ship
